New Canaan Library and the UN Committee of New Canaan are pleased to announce that Dr. Reza Aslan will be guest lecturer for the UN Committee Lecture on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Reza Aslan is an internationally acclaimed writer and a scholar of religions, who has recently appeared on several major media outlets to discuss his new book, "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth."

This is the big week we've all been waiting for....NEW FLOORS! This is day two and the crew is really doing a nice job. Noisy, but good progress.

Well, it has taken Elm Street Books a little while to get up and running as an e-commerce site, but we are officially there.
You no longer have to wake up at 2AM to order books, music, e-books or DVDs from Amazon... now if you want to do that just go to the Elm Street Books website, click on the BUY NOW link and away you go. You can order all night long and support an independent bookstore.
How totally great is that?
Now you get you middle of the night fix and keep that brick and mortar shop in biz! YESSSSS!!

The essay went viral, the end result being her new book, Carry On, Warrior, in which her honesty, humorous voice and empowering message shines through.
